The idea that is now the Run for Vaughan was first thought out in 2003. Members of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community in Vaughan decided that creating this event would be a wonderful way to bring all citizens of Vaughan and the surrounding area together for a wonderful cause – the future Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
The Run has garnered support from all levels of Government, from various businesses and citizens of Vaughan and the Greater Toronto area. The event has become a great success over a short period of time. The event attracts over 1,000 participants each year and collectively over the last 9 Runs, we have been able to forward approximately $400,000 towards Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital.
Our Goal is to turn the Run for Vaughan into a premier Running Event and Fundraiser for the Future Vaughan Hospital.
